Small! Like the size of a golf ball small. Easy to mount and setup. I used them on my boat. They look like some new type of monitoring tech. At the same time blend into the interior. However, don't make the assumption this is the only smoke detector that you need. These are just photo sensors which detect fast burning fires. You still need the old school detectors that detect smoldering fire. These don't give off too many false alarms but the trade off is they won't always detect the problem until it's a big problem. I hope First Alert keeps designing detectors like this and continues moving away from the giant white hockey pucks.
