You can read all of the other comments on Amazon regarding Pelican coolers for their amazing ice holding abilities, rugged design, bang for the buck and so on. They're fantastic and have evolved past the Yeti by a long shot. But it's not just a cooler, other uses for the 250 include: makes a good dock box, ballast container, good for uncooperative children time outs, suitable one person blue water life raft, temporary structural member, illegal border crossings, re-entry, coffin, safe room, surprise strippers, giant Jello shot mold, etc. The only down side to purchasing the 250qt is the reminder of your own mortality.
